The Memorial Day Parade steps through Pittsford Village on May 25, as it has for generations. It's one of those mornings that reminds you why you live here — neighbors lining the street, the march from Sutherland down Jefferson to South Main, and a ceremony at the Soldiers Plot that asks something of everyone who shows up. After the ceremony, American Legion Post 899 opens its doors on North Main Street for refreshments and time together.
