Pittsford Fine Art
Pittsford Fine Art is the village's dedicated fine art gallery, showcasing original work by some of the region's best-known local artists. Located in the historic Pittsford Village, it's the place to find original paintings, prints, and mixed media that capture the character of the Rochester area — work that brings something genuinely local into your home. For visitors looking to take a piece of Pittsford with them, or residents wanting to support regional artists, Pittsford Fine Art is the right stop. The gallery rotates its collection and features artists with real connections to this community.
Overview
Pittsford Fine Art is an artist-owned cooperative gallery at 4 North Main Street in the heart of Pittsford Village, NY. Founded by Chris Manaseri and his wife Holly, the gallery launched as a pop-up in December 2019 with 11 founding artists before officially opening in January 2020. After a renovation in 2023, the gallery expanded to represent roughly 45 regional artists across two connected floors — a main gallery on the ground level and an upstairs space dedicated to fine craft work.
What They Offer
The main floor features original paintings, drawings, and graphic art from 23 member painters and graphic artists whose work spans landscapes, portraits, and mixed media. The upstairs gallery showcases handcrafted work from 22 local artisans along with rotating guest artists. In addition to original pieces, the gallery sells fine art prints and notecards.
Member artists rotate roughly half of the displayed works each month, keeping the collection fresh with approximately 100 original pieces on view at any given time. Several member artists also offer art instruction. The gallery hosts First Friday receptions from 5 to 8 p.m. on the first Friday of each month, featuring a spotlight artist from the main gallery along with demonstrations and special events.
Known For
Pittsford Fine Art operates as a cooperative — the gallery is owned and staffed by its member artists rather than by an outside dealer. This model gives buyers direct access to the creators behind the work. The membership draws from across the Rochester-to-Ithaca corridor, with a strong concentration of landscape painters capturing the Finger Lakes region and surrounding countryside. The cooperative structure and monthly rotation mean the gallery's walls change regularly, giving repeat visitors a reason to come back.
Location & Neighborhood
The gallery sits at the Four Corners of Pittsford Village, next to the village clock on North Main Street. Pittsford Village is a walkable, historic district southeast of Rochester, lined with independent shops and restaurants along the nearby Erie Canal trail. Free parking is available on-site and behind the Pittsford Community Library. The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m., weekends from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is closed Mondays.
