Pittsford MRKT

Pittsford MRKT is a boutique retail and event space located at 5 Monroe Ave in the heart of Pittsford's historic village district, near the corner of Main Street and Monroe Avenue. Operating out of an approximately 700-square-foot storefront, the MRKT functions as a rotating pop-up marketplace and rentable venue where local entrepreneurs can showcase their products, launch new brands, and connect with customers without committing to a long-term lease. The space is furnished with a mix of modern and vintage pieces, including an 1800s general store island and a vintage general store counter that doubles as a bar.

Pittsford MRKT serves two main purposes: a weekend co-op marketplace and a bookable event and retail space.

As a weekend market, the MRKT hosts a rotating collective of over 15 local businesses selling handmade and locally sourced goods. Past and current vendors have included Winter Swan Coffee and Pittsford Candle Bar Co., among others — many of them women-owned businesses. The co-op is typically open Fridays from 2–7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m.–4 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m.–3 p.m., though hours may shift with the vendor lineup.

For entrepreneurs and event hosts, the space is available to rent by the day, week, or month. Weekly rates run around $1,000, with monthly rates between $2,200 and $2,500 depending on the season. Rentals include social media promotion and online event calendar listings, with optional tablescape and decorating services available for an additional fee. The venue accommodates up to 25 guests and permits outside catering.

Pittsford MRKT has carved out a niche as a low-barrier launchpad for small and local businesses in the Pittsford area. Its co-op model — where more than a dozen vendors share the storefront on weekends — gives makers and small-batch producers a physical retail presence without the overhead of a standalone shop. The space also has a sister relationship with Pittsford Candle Bar Co., which handles online merchandise sales for the MRKT.

The MRKT sits at 5 Monroe Ave, just steps from the Main Street and Monroe Avenue intersection in the Village of Pittsford. The village center is a walkable stretch of independent shops, restaurants, and historic architecture along the Erie Canal corridor. Two parking spots are available directly in front of the building, with additional street parking on Main Street and a village lot behind the building. The entire space, including the restroom, is ADA accessible.
