Introduction to Wood Windows Workshop with Steve Jordan — November 7 at Irondequoit Library

Historic Pittsford and the Irondequoit Historical Society are teaming up for a hands-on workshop on wood windows — the kind that keep the village's historic character intact from one generation to the next. Preservation expert Steve Jordan will walk participants through what makes a wood window work, how to repair failing components, and how to restore glazing to its original quality. This is for the Pittsford homeowner who has looked at a rattling sash and wondered if there was a better answer than replacement.

Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026 Time: 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM Location: Irondequoit Public Library, 1290 Titus Avenue, Rochester, NY 14617 Cost: Free

Registration is required and space is limited. Follow the link at Historic Pittsford's website (historicpittsford.org) to the Irondequoit Public Library registration page. Steve Jordan will also be selling and signing copies of his book after the presentation and demonstration.
