The Sam Patch sets off from Schoen Place this Saturday for a lunch cruise through Lock E-32 — the Erie Canal lock that defines Pittsford. There is something genuinely different about seeing the village from the water, watching the lock chamber fill and the gates swing open while you eat. It is one of the most purely Pittsford things you can do.
