Ribbon Cutting: New East Street Sidewalk — August 25 at 11am

A ribbon cutting will be held Tuesday, August 25 at 11:00am at the corner of East Street and Van Voorhis Road, marking the completion of the new sidewalk along East Street from Carriage Court to Arbor Creek Drive.

The project was identified as a recommended sidewalk connection in the Town's Active Transportation Plan. It closes a gap along a primarily residential stretch of East Street that previously had roadway shoulders but no sidewalks.

The new sidewalk connects approximately 300 homes to an existing sidewalk system that leads to Park Road Elementary School, and links into Pittsford's broader pedestrian network. The stated aim is a safer, more accessible route for walking and bicycling, especially for students and families.

The ribbon cutting is free to attend.
