Rochester Reads 2026 at Fisher — Authors Omar El Akkad and Sonja Livingston, November 10

For 25 years, Rochester Reads has asked a simple and powerful question: What if an entire city read the same book? This November, that tradition comes to East Avenue. St. John Fisher University and Writers and Books are hosting the 25th anniversary event in Pittsford — a night with two authors whose work bears witness to lives and places often left at the margins.

Authors Omar El Akkad (One Day Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This) and Sonja Livingston (Ghostbread) will share the stage for a moderated conversation and audience Q&A.

Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2026 Time: 7:00 PM Location: Cleary Family Auditorium, St. John Fisher University, 3690 East Avenue, Pittsford, NY Cost: Tickets limited — contact cfischer@sjf.edu
