The Village recently adopted Local Law #3 Sidewalk Safety Initiative, as part of our continued efforts to promote [pedestrian and bicycle safety](/pittsford-pedestrian-bike-safety-information-session-june-7th-630pm) throughout the Village. We are working to streamline the information and make these new requirements easy for residents, riders, and visitors to understand. More to come, including an E-Bike Law Information Sheet with the key rules and safety information in an easy-to-read format. Phase I of the [Sutherland Street](/south-street-and-wood-street-are-being-rebuilt-here-is-what-is-changing) project is wrapped up with infill and light surface paving. We thank residents and neighbors for their continued patience throughout this work. We look forward to moving into Phase II, which will complete the project with proper curbing and updated sidewalks, providing a safer and more finished streetscape for the neighborhood.

A Greener Way to Tackle Weeds
Looking for a simple way to manage unwanted weeds around your property? A homemade solution using vinegar, salt, and a small amount of dish soap can be an alternative to conventional herbicides for certain areas.
This mixture works as a contact weed killer. Vinegar damages the exposed leaves, salt contributes to drying the plant, and dish soap acts as a surfactant, helping the solution coat and remain on the foliage.
