A reminder to residents that bulky items that do not fit in a trash tote such as furniture, desks, couches, bed frames, mattresses, etc., are the responsibility of the homeowner to remove. The DPW will not pick up these items. Residents should contact Casella (585-254-7081) or a hauler of their choice to arrange for a separate pick-up. Any fees would be in addition to regular pick-up service.

With leaf season approaching, we ask all residents to ensure leaf piles are not placed along the roadway, parking spaces, or drainage gutters as this clogs our storm drainage system causing flooding, ponding and roadway safety issues. Piles should be placed in the right-of-way strip between the sidewalk and the curb.
NOTE: The village DPW is not responsible for pickup of material generated by landscape or cleanup companies. Any contractors hired to remove leaves/brush from properties are responsible for hauling the material.

A New Shed and a Training Opportunity for Pittsford Firefighters
A big thank you to American Legion Rayson-Miller Post 899 for providing a new storage shed on Village Hall property. The previous shed, constructed many years ago as a Scout project, had reached the end of its useful life. Prior to its demolition, the Pittsford Fire Department (PFD) had a unique opportunity to utilize the old structure for hands-on training. Firefighters were able to practice emergency entry techniques, including cutting into a structure with rescue equipment—valuable training in a setting where the building was already slated for removal.
Thank you to the American Legion, PFD, and our DPW crew for turning one small project into something that benefits several parts of our community.

The community is invited to attend the unveiling and dedication of Terrafly, a monumental 16-foot-tall sculpture by renowned Indian sculptor K. S. Radhakrishnan.
Presented through the Dogra Art Foundation, whose mission centers on connecting people and cultures through art, Terrafly will become a lasting landmark at King's Bend Park and a gift for park visitors to enjoy for years to come. Please join the Town of Pittsford and Dogra Art Foundation for the formal unveiling and celebration on October 10th.
