Pittsford PTSA Super Sale Drop-Off: Today and Wednesday

Pittsford PTSA Super Sale Drop-Off: Today and Wednesday

We dropped off our donations for the 63rd annual Pittsford PTSA Super Sale this morning at Nazareth University's Golisano Training Center, 4245 East Avenue. Follow the yellow Donate signs around to the back of the field house. Volunteers came out to the car with carts and unloaded everything for us. We didn't carry a thing.

Today's drop-off windows are 9 AM to noon and 4 to 7 PM, according to the Pittsford PTSA's Super Sale page.

Wednesday has one drop-off window only: 4 to 7 PM.

A sign at the drop-off lists what the sale accepts: clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories, books, toys, games and puzzles, baby items, furniture, rugs, lamps, linens, home goods, holiday decor, garden items, tools, sporting goods and electronics. It cannot take sofas, mattresses, cribs, car seats, walkers, large appliances, old monitors and TVs, gas-powered equipment, household chemicals, kitchen knives, weapons, undergarments, swimsuits, or carpet and carpet padding.

The Super Sale is the Pittsford Central PTSA's largest fundraiser. The 2026 sponsorship sheet lists what proceeds fund: field trips and assemblies, Cultural Arts programming at every grade level, enrichment grants, after-school enrichment and senior-year events.

For a sense of scale, the 2022 sale raised $51,000 with 250 volunteers and 2,175 shoppers, the district reported the following year.

Volunteer Shifts Run Through November 9

Volunteer Shifts Run Through November 9

The PTSA's 2026 flyer lists volunteer needs from November 2 through November 9, from the day before drop-off opens through the day after the sale closes. Several of the volunteers unloading cars this morning wore shirts from the Avangrid, NYSEG and RG&E Foundation volunteer program. Inside, crews had already laid out departments across the field house's indoor track, from clothing racks to a section signed for tools.

According to the PTSA's Super Sale page, volunteers get into Friday's presale on November 6, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM, alongside Pittsford Central School District staff. Each volunteer also receives a coupon after completing a shift, according to the sponsorship sheet. Shifts are listed on the PTSA's volunteer sign-up form.

The public sale opens Saturday, November 7, from 9 AM to 8 PM, and continues Sunday, November 8, from 9 AM to 4 PM. Sunday is also the 50%-off sale and the $5 clothing bag-it sale.

This is the sale's third year at Nazareth. It moved there in 2024, according to the district's announcement that year. The 60th sale, in 2023, was held in the Pittsford Mendon High School gymnasium.

The sale has changed shape before. In 2021, COVID-19 precautions led the PTSA to replace the 58th Super Sale with a "Super Sale Trail" of individual yard sales on October 16, according to the Town of Pittsford's newsletter. The PTSA supplied hosts with a toolkit and promotional materials including a lawn sign, and hosts donated their proceeds. I talked with a former Super Sale volunteer, who shared historical photos and background on the sale. The volunteer said the driveway-sale format ran in 2020 as well.

Bring donations to the Golisano Training Center, 4245 East Avenue, today from 4 to 7 PM or Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. The public sale opens Saturday at 9 AM.
