The Short Version

Beginning Monday, August 10th crews will be milling and paving from North Main Street (Route 96) to Commercial Street in East Rochester. Residents should expect minor traffic delays while work is in progress and are encouraged to use alternate routes to help reduce congestion.

During the week of August 17-21, paving is tentatively scheduled from Lincoln Avenue to Jefferson Road. This will be a thin asphalt layer intended to stabilize the road surface until Phase 2 of the project resumes in summer 2027. Temporary parking restrictions will be in place on the upper half of Sutherland Street, from Lincoln Avenue to Jefferson Road. Flaggers will be present, and residents should expect traffic delays. Also, the trench cuts on the lower half of Sutherland from Lincoln Avenue to Monroe Avenue will be filled and smoothed. Updates will be issued once work dates are finalized.

MCWA will continue its efforts checking infrastructure throughout the village. Residents can expect to see a small area, about 1 foot by 1 foot, around curb boxes (main shut off valve access) cleared to check and maintain the valves. Once work is complete, a separate MCWA crew will return to fill any voids in soil. Should residents meet with any issues please contact MCWA directly at 585-442-2000.

Village Voter Survey — Public Tabulation of Election Date Results

There will be a public tabulation of the survey results of all registered voters in the village at the beginning of next Tuesday's Board of Trustee meeting which begins at 6 pm at Village Hall. All are welcome to attend either in person or by ZOOM.

Modernization amendments to Chapter 176, Article X (Bicycles, Skateboards, Roller Skates, Scooters and In-Line Skates on Public Sidewalks). Changes include alignment with the prevailing New York State Vehicle & Traffic Law.

Public Hearing — Special Permit for Spa at 50 State Street

The Village Board of Trustees will hold a Public Hearing on August 11, 2026 at 6:30 PM at Village Hall, 21 North Main Street, to consider an application made by Sarah Latus for a Special Permit to operate a Spa Services at 50 State Street, Bldg. K, Pittsford, NY. The public will be able to participate in the public hearing at the Village Hall or via comments submitted through the video conferencing link identified on the Village website and Facebook page. A copy of the proposed application is on file in the Office of the Village Clerk, where interested parties may inspect it between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or on the Village website www.villageofpittsfordny.gov.

I believe Monroe Ave from the village to French road, was supposed to happen this summer. The clock is ticking on that much needed work.
