Improvements Coming to the Auburn Trail

We are overjoyed to see some new Auburn Trail upgrades in Brighton break ground. The improvements are funded by and part of the Whole Foods development project.

The section of trail from Highland Ave to the Pittsford town line will soon be resurfaced with stone dust, creating a 10 feet wide ADA-accessible trail. The trail is an old railroad bed and is a little dodgy to traverse at times, unless you are on a mountain bike. These improvements will make it much more useful for daily commuters and recreational riders. Biking or walking to school for students at Council Rock Primary School and The Harley School will be much more doable now.

As Supervisor Bill Moehle said at the groundbreaking: “Trails connect neighborhoods and communities but they also connect people.”
