The following is the full text of the resolution as it appears in the August 25 meeting packet. The adoption date is blank in the filed copy.

[plainenglish] This is a preliminary application, not an award. A yes vote lets the Village ask New York State for $694,661.09 toward work on Sutherland Street and other Village roads, and authorizes the Mayor or Village Clerk to sign and submit the paperwork.

The scope is broader than repaving. Alongside milling, resurfacing and isolated pavement repair, the resolution names ADA curb ramp reconstruction, sidewalk improvements, and repairs to curbs, gutters and drainage structures — so the pedestrian environment on Sutherland is part of what is being funded, not an afterthought to it.

The second resolved clause is the one that binds the Village regardless of what Albany decides. It commits the Board to cover any share of the project the grant does not, drawing on available Village funds or the financing already authorized under the March 10, 2026 bond resolution. The work is going forward; the question this application settles is how much of it the State pays for.
